On the symbolic side you can read my post for October 5th (or surf the net for many more): “The Goddess descends. The brightest light in the night sky after the Moon, the diamond hanging there in the west after sunset, begins her journey back toward the Sun. A reminder to us all that there are things we hold tightly, things that weigh us down and get in the way, that keep us from what really matters. Between now and the end of October is time to make peace and let go”.
No metaphor is worth its salt without something that anchors it in the embodied world. And so:
With Uranus in Taurus, which Venus rules, the issue of trade has been in the news, front and center, with great chaotic over and undertones. (Brexit, NAFTA etc.) Venus in her retrograde journey will oppose Uranus just before it (Uranus) returns for it’s last fling in Aries (till March 2019).
Mars has been squaring Uranus on and off from mid May to the end of September. There has been so much about trade issues going on in the world at this time. Much of it contentious and exclusive rather than inclusive.
And then there are the women’s issues if you can call it that. Actually these are men’s issues to be honest. The assumption of male privilege with regard to women’s bodies is as old as patriarchy. Venus doesn’t like that. I hope she prevails in the Kavanaugh supreme court decision. But even if she doesn’t, even if the patriarchs bear down harder, we all know that the collective soul will burst the bounds of hierarchical restraints in the foreseeable future. The crises in nature and culture are the perfect storm.
Consider your small but real contribution to all that matters while Venus does her retrograde journey. Starting in November will be the time to step into a greater sense of authentic living, powered by the soul of nature which also powers our souls individually; yours and mine.
