Me, Myself and I: Astrology’s First House
Who is it, takes the journey of a life? It must be me. But who am I?
Astrology’s first house is first in that it is the significator of the self, the body, the identity. It’s the ‘Who I Am’ of the chart. We might say it’s the (small) self, not the (capital) Self. But what’s that about?
John O’Donohue said: “So many people are frightened by the wonder of their own presence. They are dying to tie themselves into a system, a role, or to an image, or to a predetermined identity that other people have actually settled on for them”.
Which is to say, we are frightened and fascinated by our reactive patterns and that, possibly, we identify too easily with these patters as ‘me’.
In this workshop we will examine the ‘me’ of the chart. What it says about our defenses as well as our identity: The good, the bad and the beautiful.
You do not have to be an astrologer to take this workshop but it would be good to have a time of birth. We will use the wisdom embedded in our own charts to delve into the material.
