February  18th
Sun enters Pisces 07:02 AM EST
Saturn Stationery retrograde
How is it that one person is a mystic; a poet or/and a scientist and another is a stock broker or a baker and yet they are all Pisces? If there is anything to this astrology there must be a common thread. Imagine a great underground river and it flows beneath all Pisces people. Possibly there is a Melusine who lives there. Some are aware of it and try ceaselessly to describe or decipher it; to share their awareness of it. Others sense it. They notice, for example, that sometimes their socks and shoes are wet for no reason. But they don’t mention it because it makes no sense. Still others hear the sound of the river in the night but as day dawns they forget about it until they fall asleep the next night. Such is the fate of many a dream. And then there are the ones who fear the river; who want nothing to do with it; who deny it to the point of going to great lengths to prove it does not exist.
All of these people are doing the Pisces thing. And even if we were not born with our Sun in Pisces we partake of this sign in some measure in our chart. We are all connected by the underground river.

If you feel heavy today know that to live is, in some way, to be limited by circumstance. This is easy to see when the snow falls and you have to clear it away; less easy when the circumstance requires inner effort. To ‘know thyself’ is a lot harder than shoveling show for most of us. Such is the requirement of this day – even this week or maybe this year…

February 21st
Sun conjunct Neptune
If life is but a dream then what is a dream? Some of the greatest innovations have come from dreams.
Life is a mystery. To even approximate a connection to it we must spend some time in silence. Many people confuse this silence with loneliness. John O’Donohue said, ‘Silence is the sister to the divine’.

February  23rd
Mercury stationery, retrograde in Pisces.
That talent for listening to the still, small voice could be really useful over the next few weeks.

February  25th
Full Moon 7 degrees of Virgo. 3:26 PM EST
Venus enters Pisces
Sun square Jupiter
Once upon a time there were 3 sisters. One was beautiful and knew it (Venus). Another was a story-teller and could pick your pocket even while entertaining you (Jupiter). The third sister was crowned with a humble light (Full Moon). In her quiet but piercing way she saw deeply into people and in so doing enabled them to see themselves; not always in the most flattering light.
Today, beauty watches from the sidelines as the story teller and the wise one come together to catch us in the act of being ourselves. The best defense is a good laugh and a willingness to love and accept yourself even though you are not perfect.

February  26th
Mercury (retrograde) conjunct Mars
Watery thoughts arise like mermaids from a sea of powerful feelings and motivate our actions today. To actually know how you feel it is necessary to sit and listen to that (Pisces) river running deep beneath the awareness of your mind. You could do this right here; right now.

February  28th
Venus conjunct Neptune
Today the beautiful sister (Venus) entices us in the manner of a selkie as she sheds her seal skin and appears human. What is the love we long for that we just never completely find? Maybe you could paint it or write it or sing it; or just be with it in whatever way works for you. Let the intensity of the longing itself carry you on its wave. Don’t be surprised if you feel a bit of bliss.

March  1st
Sun sextile both Pluto and Saturn
A powerful day to face up to the inevitable changes of life. Change can be good, not only inevitable.

March  4th
Sun conjunct Mercury retrograde
Venus square Jupiter
Mae West said it: ‘Flattery will get you everywhere’. We all know the dangers of being flattered but sometimes it just feels so good. And just because someone is flattering you does not mean you are not wonderful. Today the beautiful sister (Venus) and the story-teller (Jupiter) are playing tricks wherever they can get away with it. Meanwhile the truth is hidden in plain sight. Have some fun but don’t get a swelled head.

March 6th  and 7th
Venus sextile Pluto and trine Saturn
Mercury conjunct Venus
Mercury trine Saturn and sextile Pluto
What kind of love connects us to each other even as we are powerless in our desire to change those we love into what we think they should be? When you know your own heart, the strength and beauty of that knowledge can change the world and the people in it. Starting right here, right now be honest with yourself about how you feel. The energy of such a stance may inspire others to do the same.

March 8th
Saturn sextile Pluto
Stand your ground, even as you look for every opportunity to participate in the huge opportunities available for us to change our world. It is possible to transform your life without making a mess of it. Investments made now – financial or emotional – have potential to last a long time and pay steady dividends.

March 9th
Mercury retrograde square Jupiter
Don’t believe everything you hear – even if you’re the one speaking it. Hold back the inclination to think you know how things are especially if you haven’t been there. It’s a smoke and mirrors kind of day or maybe a foot-in-mouth one.

March 11th
New Moon 3:51 PM EST 21 degrees of Pisces
Maybe you’ve been waiting to begin again; to find the sweet spot and dive once into the flow of life. This evening and tomorrow are about new beginnings. There must be ‘laughter after pain and sunshine after rain’ and so we begin again.

March 12th
Mars enters Aries
The hero is returning home. Not for R&R but to bring change and new growth. Somewhere in your chart, your life, is a  house (a department of life) that has Aries on the cusp. It is where you tend to rise to the call and assert your individuality. Exercise this area of your life now and for the next weeks. New growth is inevitable. It’s up to you to make it good.

March 17th
Mercury stationery Direct
Something has been incubating since February 23rd. It’s ready to be revealed. Maybe you know what it is, maybe it’s a mystery to you. In these last days of winter what dream calls you forward?
