Deep inside he heart of anyone or anything is the opposite. The Sun’s great light harbors a deep impenetrable darkness. We experience this if/when we sit alone and feel he vast expanse of inner space. It’s no easy. It can be scary. But as human beings we all have access to this Big Emptiness; for some it’s a darkness, unbearable and terrifying, to be avoided at all costs; for others this vast emptiness at the heart of the heart offers a path to bliss. Either way it requires a lot of energy. Rachel Naomi Remen has said, ‘The heart is an organ of vision, not a valentine’.
Leo, of course, is all about the heart; your heart, my heart, the heart of the solar system.
Today is a Big Heart day and while we’re at it we should remember that big as love can make us feel we need to stay grounded and whole as best we can in any given moment as well as using the potential we have to open our goodness to the larger group around us. Suffering seems to increase as climates of all sorts shift and change. We are actually all equipped to participate in the wild, crazy dance of chaos and change.
Venus opposite Neptune and sextiles Saturn
Love has so many guises and disguises. Consider yourself fortunate if your heart longs for something you can commit yourself to. Let longing mingle with the experience of making love manifest in your life.
Mars opposite Pluto
It’s always the right thing to align our efforts at meeting our own needs with a sense of how it might effect others. Like ripples in a calm lake after the stone.
Venus sextiles Jupiter
Encourage abundance by doing the work of weeding, cleaning, healing, whole-making.
Venus trines Pluto
The mandate of ‘whole-making’ grows in urgency. Mend it, if it’s torn; cook it, if it will feed someone; and don’t forget to smudge, make the offering and cherish the fire in the hearth of your own life.
Mars squares Uranus
Anything could hit the fan. there is no telling. But whatever hits, he issue will have at it’s root ‘What about me?’ and, ‘Why should I starve, suffer, work so hard, wait, while you get what you want?’ It’s a profound issue. Why some have and some don’t. We take it on early in childhood. Do we get what we deserve or do our fortunes simply arise out of circumstance based on other circumstance?
Venus sextiles Mars
What i want and what i have are inclined to support each other. As long as what-i-want is willing to consider the tension between need and want and what-i-have is willing to care in simple but meaningful ways for what is actually available.
Sun trines Uranus
A day for fun and risk taking. Let the heart inspire All!
New Moon; 14 degrees of Leo; 11:51 AM EDT
If you’re happy and you know it let someone else know it too. Inspire your life with the meditations of your heart.
Jupiter opposite Pluto
People believe in the strangest things: Vegetables, meats, fats, exercise, capitalism, religions of all stripes, communism, all sorts of isms. Clearly there is more than one path to the truth. And some things just are and do not require belief or faith. Step mindfully on your path. It belongs to you alone.
Mercury enters Leo
Think creatively from the heart. Love is a power that can inform mind. The mind is not inherently loving.
Mercury squares Saturn
Slow down the speed of thought. Let the passionate heart attune to the guts.
Mercury trines Uranus
The past is over. Everyone will tell you that. Except possibly your memory. The present is full of future promise. Lean in if you can. if you simply cannot shake the past do something creative with it. Tell a story with words or music, collage or dance. Burn it in the fire of your essential longing for freedom.
Venus enters Libra
If you love art and/or culture; if you love justice and the process of law making, now is the time to take it to some height. Simply because you value it.
Full Moon at 28 degrees of Aquarius
What is summer for you? Whatever the answer, now is a time to engage it fully. Not because it’s good or bad; just because it’s summer.
Jupiter square Uranus
Upside down, inside out and backwards are only some of the possibilities. Our needs for security, our beliefs about what is required to maintain that security ,challenges our need as humans to be free. This debate is the stuff of wars as well as great philosophy. There are some who believe we are most free when we are freely choosing to live generously compassionately and for the good of all no matter what our circumstances.
