People ask me what I think about the election. Let me begin with a poem:
A Magical Charm Against the Language of Politics: by Veronica Patterson
After watching T.V.
Say over and over the names of things
The clean nouns,
Read field guides, atlases, gravestones.
At the store, bless
each apple by kind:
Enunciate the vegetables
When you have compared the politicians slippery platforms,
chant the spiders:
Remember that most short verbs are ethical:
Hatch, spin, trap, eat.
Dig deep, pronounce clearly;
Pull the words in over your head,
Hole up for the duration of the season.
(I’m not sure of the spelling or spacing of this poem as i heard it on a recording by Jack Kornfield: Turn Toward the Beautiful.
So I can’t say as I’m the best person to call an election, astrologically speaking. I’m not so sure you can tell by the candidates anyway. Given the way our system works I think it would be better to look at the astrology of the parties rather than the candidates.
